Must Have
- AWS Services: Strong experience with AWS services such as (not all are required but at least experience with more advanced AWS Services utlisation rather than basic EC2 + S3 setup): EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM,
- CloudTrail, CloudWatch, CloudFront, Route 53, ELB, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, CodePipeline, Control Tower, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Secrets Manager, Fargate, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, Data Pipeline
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, able to define and manage cloud infrastructure consistently.
- Containerization and Orchestration: Skilled in Docker for containerization, with experience in orchestration tools like ECS or EKS.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Experienced in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, Bitbucket Pipelines or Gitlab CI.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a DevOps, or lead DevOps role.
- Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS), and IaC tools.
- Scripting & Coding: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Observability: Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, and logging solutions like ELK Stack to ensure reliable infrastructure operations.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex technical challenges.
- Soft Skills: Good English communication skills, team collaboration abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
Nice to Have
- Serverless Architectures: Knowledge of serverless architectures and AWS services supporting SOA, such as API Gateway, SNS, and SQS.
- Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Automation Scripting: Skilled in scripting for automation tasks, using languages like Python or Bash for routine DevOps processes.
- Windows: Experience in managing Windows RDS environments, Windows Server, SQL server is useful for possible migration tasks and troubleshooting the current on-prem environment.
- Networking: General networking skills like Cisco networking, Windows and Linux networking, pfsense firewalling.
